Playing on the land, roaming the fields my five year old self climbs high into the cherry blossom tree that lives by the lane. It's where you'd find me in the spring of 1961, simple and carefree. Aries people don't follow they LEAD. Aries -the first sign of the zodiac marks the beginning of a new year- it’s fiery action energy. Partnering with the Spring Equinox you are called to set a strong intent- honing long range planning and goals. Leadership. Pioneering. The path of individualization.

Venus/Sun/Moon/Mercury are all in Aires. Harmony, Creativity, Feeling and communicating square Pluto at 4° of Capricorn. Squares offer up a challenge to the status quo, which fuels your new intentions, Pluto transforms demands a new structure.

Feeling better than, or less than another means your inner child is activated. "I am so spiritual, healthy, gifted and talented... you’re not"- is a very narcissistic viewpoint. At this New Moon your Aries Shadow also needs to be explored. Listen for the next couple of days about how you are talking to yourself, sharing with others. Are you piloting your own ship, or have outside forces taken control of the helm?
Aries wants a clear intent, the energy is action oriented, self-directed. A healed Aries energy within (you and me) expresses their focused intent with laser like clarity. They know when to go with the flow, to have patience, have a vision and not be knocked off the path.
What house is Aries on in your chart? In this house you want to show others the way and right now that energy is hard to manifest and see. Aries represents your identity, the strength and ability to stand in your power. How do you lead others in some tangible way through the power of your presence? YOU.
Power is the ability to use energy. At this lunation it’s time to ask:

- How is my childhood conditioning affecting me and others now?

- Are you afraid of your own power?

Ego is force. It is important to know that Aries and the first house/doorway is representative of our lower nature, the egoic self. Fiery Aries is passionate, but too often our Aries is fueled by anger, sadness, grief, guilt. We defend to protect our fragile state. Mars rules Aries. Unhealed it represents a “me first’ attitude- war, vanity, anger, impatience. Mars and Venus are planetary pairs that work together- the sacred masculine and feminine.
Mars in the body is represented by the 3rd chakra- the seat of power, the will. Venus is represented by the 4th chakra, the seat of love.
The lower nature of ego must transcend into the heart. The heart creates a bridge to the higher centers. Heart disease is the number one killer in America. As a society we live from our lower three chakras, and stop short of the heart. The bridge is broken, and war breaks out within you and around you.
The heart center is responsible for mediating the energies coming and going through the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual bodies. When one is connected to deep intimacy with self and others there is passion and power born from moving through and transmuting the anger, pain and suffering. The negative shape shifts and transforms to Divine Love. The balanced ego merges with soul energy = power. Power brings responsibility to break the rules.
