Angel Wings and the New Moon

So much I could write at this New Moon in Sagittarius yet it feels a bit much to share. My mother is slowly slipping away and this Christmas season I am flooded by our Holiday past. Mom loved being with family, holiday decorating and entertaining. She crafted like Martha Stewart, opened up our home, invited the town to tour, wine, dine and dance.

Anne Lamont in her book Grace Eventually writes-"old mothers never die, and they never fade away. They are too complicated for either."

I created a collage today, the girl reminds me of a 60's Breck Shampoo Ad- all that I wasn't in my mother's eyes; my New Moon SoulCollage® feels very important. So here is my evolving SoulCollage and the journaling that unfolded...

We teach each other
how to fly by our shared journeys,
by our truth-telling.

Healing stories born
out of the dark places
from anger, fear and sadness
In the fallings and failings
I find courage
To take a risk,
to wake up,
to trust
and once again

Open up to loving arms...
that were always with me.
But I forgot
how to connect...
Magically my angel wings unfurl
and flutter
Our Brilliance is revealed.

And when the Boat shows up
it finds we already
flew Home.

Sagittarius New Moon SoulCollage®

After a month of letting go in the Scorpio energies you are ready to expand into something new.

Saturn is now in Libra for the first time in 29 years...demanding balance in all our relationships. So as we enter the Holiday season issues of trust and truth telling go to a whole new level. What was hidden is now revealed. People are dancing all over the place with these energies.

Jupiter expands while Saturn contracts.

Saturn is ruled by Capricorn. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter is the in-breath, Saturn the out-breath. You can’t have one without the other or you just die. Fiery Jupiter asks you to GO BOLD and take a risk. Jupiter represents truth and wisdom. Your truth, your wisdom.

Being Stalked at this New Moon is a post I wrote back in 2007 about how the Sagittarius energies work in my life. Interesting in reading it again and seeing how I am at a similar place, yet with a much broader understanding.

Saturn and Uranus Opposition

This is a time of grand expansion, a opportunity to reconnect with the fragmented self and perform your own soul retrieval. Call back your power. Saturn entered Virgo in September 2007 and dances in opposition to Uranus in Pisces over the next year. This could be fun! (hey my Sun in Pisces is getting direct hits from this energy...)

We have one more New Moon in Virgo September 18th, 2009, next year at this time Saturn leaves and doesn’t return again until 2038.

Connect the dots and embody the Practical Mystic within, especially during the 2009-2010 New/Full Moons in Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini and Pisces. Take the teachings deeper as Saturn finishes up the journey through Virgo...expect aha’s and shape-shifting.

Being stalked at this new moon

At this new moon in Sagittarius on December 9th, 2007 a stellium of planets [Sun, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto]¹ are stalking my first and second houses [this is me and this is what I am worth, self-worth]. Can I share it is not a good time to aggravate me, yet that is apparently what the Universe has in store. Oh my.

In the news there are stories of people losing their tempers in a flash and saying something they regret. Imus on steroids. One shamanic friend set some much needed boundaries in her community, she blew her fuse and at the exact same moment the power went out in her neighborhood. Good news- there was a healing. Like her I am finding it increasing difficult to hold back and not mince my words. Here is my New Moon SoulCollage® for Sagittarius:

Looking for your truth in all the wrong places

Saturn moved through Sagittarius from January 1956 through January 1959 and November 1985 through February 1988

Pluto has been in the sign Sagittarius since 1995 and leaves to move into the sign Capricorn next month. Pluto transforms us from within, the Cosmic garbage collector, rules death and rebirth. As an agent of transformation he doesn’t just go away. Pluto is our collective get out of Hell ticket so we can share our story through transformation. Pluto is the change agent for our rigid black and white thinking; our shadow issues, those things we want to hide. Pluto is the task master over the crap of our shame represented by the seven deadly sins- pride, wrath, greed, envy, lust, gluttony, sloth. The offenses against Love.

Providence rules at this New Moon in Sag

I am browsing in the bookstore when I notice a very scruffy man sharing space in the same row of books. The voice in my head is saying ‘don’t talk to strangers’. Even so I cautiously find myself engaging in a conversation with him as he blurts out whatever he seems to be thinking about our surroundings, and during our brief interchange I find myself saying to him- “oh that is so lucky.”

He replies with authority “No that’s not luck, it’s Providence!” A chill moves through me as an ultimate truth is spoken. Providence. Luck is when I have no connection to Spirit. Providence means my angels have intervened- it is a divine intervention, a partnership acknowledged. Jupiter is said to rule issues of fate, good fortune, luck and providence. With Jupiter’s energy we want to expand into something, push out beyond our comfort zones.

There is a New Moon in Sagittarius on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 9:01 am est. Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, is all about risk taking. At this lunation you may be called to stretch, risk or die.

The Jupiter Collages- a reminder

Miracles– The Aramaic word for miracles, nes, also means to “run away.” When we “run away” from the Desire to Receive for the Self Alone- the selfish longings of our ego– miracles happen. In other words, we must affect the miracle within nature in order to ignite miracles around us. Last week Jupiter entered Sagittarius on November 23, 2006. Jupiter is the archetype of the Teacher within all of us that knows how to take our blessed wound and make magic from it.

Now I have a challenge for you! I want you to make a collage representing this Jupiter energy and what it means for you. Make a SoulCollage® card, or make a collage to honor this time in your life. Don’t make the process too complicated…all you need are some magazines, a glue stick, scissors and paper. Jupiter just entered the sign Sagittarius last week. His home town. Jupiter rules Sagittarius. It takes Jupiter 12 years to complete a cycle in one's birth chart. Last week I had a profound dream about Jupiter’s cycle in my life. Those times I took the risk and expanded have lead me down some wonderful roads. I thought I’d share the dates the last time Jupiter was in Sagittarius:

• February 1971-1972
• January 1983-1984
• January 1995-1996
• Now-December 2006-2007

What was happening for you in those years? You may have aha’s and/or you may be screaming ‘aaarrggh’. You may find yourself revisiting issues, people or places and taking the experience [wisdom] to a new level of understanding.

Jupiter traveled through Scorpio last year, meaning that in order to expand into something we had to be willing to let go of the old ways. Clean house. A year of stopping and starting- digging into heavy emotions, deep water. Jupiter's energy in Sagittarius works to help us expand into new territory- personally and professionally. "We’d have a great relationship if it weren’t for you!" This from a book I read back in the 90’s on marriage and partnership. Aries is about self and Libra is how we relate to others, how we partner. Aries can be boorish and selfish when only vested in the ‘me’ energy. It’s the Full Moon at 14 degrees of Aries on Friday, October 6th, 2006 at 11:13 pm. And the boors are out and about. Full moon energy relates to your soul energy, the Greater Story you share with others that is healing and life affirming. You planted some intentions last spring and they are now manifesting- the good, the bad, the ugly.
