Been on the road getting Dear Daughter off to fall semester but wanted to share this with you. Sandra Ingerman is a wonderful teacher, mentor and friend who travels the world teaching others how to transform toxins* in our environment. A friend sent me Sandy’s u-tube video about Medicine for the Earth.
* Michele’s Testimonial: I have been integrating the Medicine for the Earth principles into my life and healing practice since 2000. Two years ago at our neighborhood 4th of July cookout Dear Husband was frying fish. The pot got knocked and spilled boiling oil down Dear Husband’s leg. Immediately I transfigured and started doing healing on his leg, it was an amazing experience. While he experienced 2nd degree burns, the leg never festered, nor did it cause him any great pain, and there is very little scaring.
"What if one hour of human time can empower Humanity?" You may have noticed the countdown clock to the left about the world event Fire the Grid on July 17th. Back in 1997, after my first soul retrieval, I was gifted the same swirling symbol to use in my healing work. Now Fire the Grid uses the same swirling symbol in their logo, so I really paid attention when I found the website a couple of months ago. **smile**
In this post I present a video from Shelley Yates, a very common woman with an uncommon story to share. This is part 1 of 7 parts, and it was amazing for me to watch this down-to-earth woman share her story. What is asked of her and what unfolded from her willingness. It’s a story of resurrection.
Be Defined...what’s the astrology for Fire the Grid:
Leo is rising- it’s about heart energy. The fixed signs are in play- fixed signs represent the foundation, think of cornerstones that hold up a building. These signs can also reflect stuck energy in our psyche- where we become stubborn- holding up, holding back, holding on because of our dramas/traumas. The key is a willingness to surrender and heal the pain.
The transpersonal planets-Neptune, Uranus and Pluto are in retrograde motion (for more information read this post). Chiron is retrograding in Aquarius as well.
Neptune in Aquarius (new thought, new order) at 22 degrees opposes Saturn in Leo (creativity, heart and soul) at 25 degrees. It’s a releasing energy much like a full Moon- between spirit (Neptune) and matter-the current structure (Saturn rules structure). In the body think of your 1st chakra (Saturn) and your 7/8 chakras (spirit). The center point is the heart (Venus). Both planetary energies (Neptune and Saturn) square the phantom point of the Saturn/Jupiter conjunction in Taurus back in May 2000.
The feminine energies-Venus and the Moon are meeting up at 1 degree of Virgo in the first house. Venus goes retrograde on July 27 and moves back into Leo to meet up with Saturn, Mercury, Venus and the Sun all in Leo the week of August 13th 2007.
The Sun sits at 25 degrees of Cancer. The Sabian Symbol for this degree is:
A WILL-FULL MAN IS OVERSHADOWED BY A DESCENT OF SUPERIOR POWER.
Dane Rudhyar in his book An Astrological Mandala speaks of this symbol "We are dealing here with a man who uses his will and positive imagination in facing his life problems. To him comes a Pentecostal descent of power. He receives the mantel of power, the grace (baraka in Sufi philosophy) which can make him a true leader in his culture...It is not merely external success (as given by society to its prima donnas) but a spiritual response, a sing of inner strength and uncommon ENDOWMENT." (p. 127)
Lynda Hill writes of this symbol in her book 360 Degrees of Wisdom: A LEADER OF MEN WRAPPED IN AN INVISIBLE CLOAK OF POWER~ There comes a time when we have to rise to the occasion as someone in charge or as a decision maker. It is almost as though this has been thrust upon you but you have placed yourself in this position. You need to both understand and accept the consequences. We are called to accept the cloak or mantel and respond with responsibility and acceptance.
"Great hearts steadily send forth the secret forces that incessantly draw great events." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am not a shaman, I cannot be certified to be a shaman…I can’t take classes and graduate to become a shaman. There I’ve said it!
I get daily Google Alerts about shamanism and I am amazed. I am a shamanic practitioner–that means I practice shamanism as my spiritual path (all my life, but I woke up to the truth of it in 1994). It does not make me a shaman!
As a small child I connected with Nature and the world around me. Nature informs me, heals me, sustains me. Many discuss shamanism in their communities now because there is a hungering for connection; people need to 'frame it'. In your own spiritual awakening you may be called to walk this path…but beware of trying to make sense of something that changes like the tides and whose power has been with us for thousands of years. Don’t limit the power of the Universe. In my own experience...
It’s a sacred call. It is a call to build relationship in the world behind your eyes. There is no gaining control over “the Spirits”. This is the old paradigm of good versus evil. Communities around the world are working to create a balance in the web of light through love. A good shaman [shamanic practitioner] works in sacred partnership with her Helping Allies- the benevolent ancestors and descendents, the spirits of the land, the sacred elements, the power animals and teachers. These Helping Spirits are caretakers in the invisible worlds that want to support the earth and her inhabitants at this time.
It's an alliance that brings healing, problem solving and builds community. The community you serve by your good works may say “she is a shaman.” But one never decrees this personally, that is the height of arrogance.
Shamans from around the world say we are dreaming the wrong dream. We are all suffering from nature deficit disorder, especially our children. If the message shared is one of fear, then you are working with the wrong spiritual teacher, find a new teacher who is dreams of unity, practices forgiveness. Find a healed healer.
Again these words don’t quite capture the essence of it all. I would suggest you journey over to Sandra Ingerman's site, and listen to her talk on weaving the web of light. Learn to shamanic journey for yourself. Start to build relationship in the world behind your eyes.
Here is some good information that has served me well these past 12 years. When I first started teaching shamanism in a local store, I met several women who had given their power over to an abusive spiritual teacher. Oh the horror stories I heard. Now after a 30 minute lecture they wanted to apprentice with me right away- these women didn't even 'know' me, which was very weird. I see a lot of soul loss presenting this way.
In my own journey I have studied with several ‘known’ teachers whose work I love and whose shadows started taking center stage. One friend shared, "the greater the teacher, the greater the shadow." Witnessing and observing this within and without is a great teaching and learning for me. For over a decade I have been sharing these guidelines to friends and students- they help me keep it clean. LOL
Signs that you may have taken a wrong turn from the book Embodying Spirit by Jacquelyn Small:
This morning I read in the paper that my best friend’s mother died. From her obituary they said was a beautician and card player all her life. Her daughter and I hung out together as young girls heading into womanhood from the age of 10 to 15. As I sit here writing this there is a life chapter closing in her mother’s passing. I express my condolences with these thoughts on the funeral home’s web site for the family but they don’t tell my story, her mother’s story or Annie’s story:
I am sorry for your family’s loss. Once I worked along side an old woman by the name of Mrs. Roll, who said to me at the tender age of 22, “Michele strive to make good memories, for at the end of your life they will keep you company.”
Know today I have fond memories of your mother and your family, especially being at the Storer’s home; for me it was an exciting mysterious place because of your mother’s shop. When one would open the kitchen door there was the constant hum of conversation as one could hear the women all chatting, the community connecting when I was over playing with Annie. Then there are the times we got to play dress-up; when the shop was closed Annie and I would go out into your mother’s salon and play “beauty”. This was a special treat as we would wash each others hair in the big tub, curl our hair with enormous pink rollers, and sit under the dryers reading movie magazines while doing each others nails. Big hair was the norm in the late 60’s; Annie and I thought we were so cool walking around outside afterwards with our page boy and flips. I am sure we left the place a mess, like most 12 year olds would but your mother never complained. I learned how to give myself a manicure from those experiences with your mom and Annie. They are special memories that I hold dear and I have shared with my own 12 year old daughter. In your time of sorrow, know that I hold these memories and others in a special place in my heart as well.
As Paul Harvey would say . . . this is the rest of the story:
Her daughter and I were close until I had to move away to Florida in 1971. Annie's parents partied hard with my parents, during those times we’d ask our mothers for money to go to the store. They’d hand us each a $20 bill to buy candy (not knowing what they had given us or even caring to ask for the change back). Annie and I were tomboys together, not wanting to grow up too fast and become women. We loved hanging out in the woods, playing football and softball, riding our bikes and being one of the guys. Annie had a wicked sense of humor that made me laugh deep from within and we’d fight just as hard as well. With her as a friend I had permission to do both.
A few weeks ago I picked up a book “Christ Power and the Earth Goddess” . . .the author shares his thoughts on the Gnostic writings and the Gospel of Thomas. Rudolph Steiner founded the Anthroposophical movement in Germany in the early 1900’s. In 1913-14 Steiner lectured and wrote a book on his readings of the Akashic records describing the missing information of “The Fifth Gospel” about the life of Christ . . . Then the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Gospel of Saint Thomas was discovered in 1945.
Through the configuration of the four crosses symbolizing the four Gospels- a fifth invisible cross is formed - - a symbol for the Fifth Gospel.
This man was on a spiritual quest much like you . . . he became very frustrated so he turned to his daughter with a question because she was in touch and able to communicate with the angelic beings and nature spirits… this is what the daughter shared . . .
“The four gospels are primarily devoted to people’s relationship with each other, but the Fifth Gospel speaks to the relationship that a single individual has with their own being, and to their relationship with their environment only as a consequence of that. It places the individual at the center point, as a person and not as part of a crowd. You can learn more about this matter from an angel who is active in this area. He possesses insight into the people’s collective and individual evolution and helps one to search for one’s personal spiritual path.
The Fifth Gospel in the sense that you have understood it is an important source of inspiration for the evolution of human kind. It deals with a change in your evolutionary path, a great forward step that is confronting humanity and all of creation. A whole host of angels is extremely active in this special area. They work by inspirational guidance, and by leading try to help. The angel I mentioned previously is one of them. His name is Michael.”
